Liverpool is an outstanding city to visit at anytime of year. The addition of Christmas lights just makes it even more magical. We look forward to welcoming you to Liverpool soon. Meanwhile here are some of the Liverpool Christmas lights that we liked!
Christmas Market at St Georges Hall
The Christmas Market is held on St Georges Plateau, with plenty of bars and stalls. I love the curtain of lights between the pillars on St Georges Hall. The tree in Williamson Square has multi changing lights. It looks great in the square with The Playhouse Theatre and St Johns Beacon as a backdrop, but the best way to see it………..is from the Inside!
Liverpool One showing its festive side
Church Alley leading to The Bluecoat ChambersThe reindeer in Liverpool One is sure to put a smile on the faces of children and adults! What’s not to love about a Christmas Tree that has a bar at it’s base, Mulled Wine anyone?
The Albert Dock & Pier Head will help you celebrate in style!
The Royal Albert Dock is the number one tourist destination in Liverpool. It is also the most visited free tourist attraction in North West England. Currently welcoming you to the Albert Dock are Triton and Neptune, who feature on the Liverpool coat of arms.Further around the dock you will also see Bella and Bertie, our beloved Liver Birds! Here’s Bella by the Atlantic Pavillion.Looking across the Albert Dock to Tate Liverpool and the Liverpool Mountain by Swiss artist Ugo RondinoneThere is so much to do at The Royal Albert Dock, including The Beatles Story, The Maritime Museum, The International Slavery Museum and The Museum Of Liverpool Life. The Christmas lights accentuate the design of the Jesse Hartley warehouses while creating a warm, cosy feel. Not an easy task in the middle of winter, next to the River Mersey! Thankfully there are plenty of shops and restaurants to warm up in!
The Beatles statues at The Pier Head are popular no matter what the time of day. The addition of lights for the Ice Festival bring an added enchantment to the fab four.
